I came across a photo term yesterday. Lomography -that's what I need! This is a very popular style, more than 1 million people all around the world follow it. The main idea is: don't think, just shot. Photos are taken with cheap film cameras traditionaly. What if you've got a digital camera already, and you don't want to buy another one? You can just emulate lomo effects.
Download gimp plugin here: http://registry.gimp.org/node/7870. Place gimplomo.scm into your ~/.gimp-2.4/scripts/ folder. Restart gimp, select "Filters -> Light and Shadow -> Lomo".
Here are some of my pictures.

I find LOMO intriguing. Though I do not have a Lomo camera, I have tried a version of Lomo with my DSLR. I set the lens to wide angle with matrix focusing, 400 ISO, and point and shoot without looking thru the viewfinder. It's fun to see what I get by happenstance.
